Mutant Chronicles Core Box Campaigns.

Just finished the core box 10 scenarios and at this point I am still enjoying the game. Having put in 24 hours this was a quick campaign. The Doom troopers (now there’s a 90’s name) took heavy casualties and so 14 corporate mercenaries from all 4 of the factions will be forever entombed in the citadel. The card driven AI although highly random produced some interesting incidents and choke points for the troopers to overcome. The scenarios themselves are nothing unique or something I haven’t seen before in countless dungeon crawlers. The beauty is in the simple move and shoot dice chucking rules. It keeps the game fast and fluid and accommodates a solo players ability to retain character and scenario specific information while not making you have to refer time and again to complicated base rules. I was immersed in the game for the scenarios duration. So next stop the Martian colonies were something sinister and mutant related needs investigation.
