Completed in 22 hours the Luna campaign offered some pretty uninspiring new adversaries. There was no stand out new abilities just variations on the core stats. I did not understand the dread dice mechanism and home ruled it. Basically if you used the dread dice to try to enhance an attack or gain other advantages then you then gave that dice to the dark legion to use right back at you. The critical wound rules were just an unnecessary and useless thing. It may have been ok for the RPG version but not the board game. However some of the scenarios were more interesting. The layout of the rooms made tactical decisions important to avoid choke points and keep movement flowing when under time pressure. This campaign was brutal on the Doomtroopers though and after several failed missions mercenaries were hired to help complete them. All together the mercenaries accounted for over 30% of the Doomtroopers casualties. 35% casualties for the Luna PD and 35% casualties for the Matsamura Corporation. There is a growing dread in the citadel and a sense that the Dark Symmetry is pervading the dark legion and infusing it with new diabolical monstrosity’s. Time to call in the Brotherhood to purge the corridors of this growing corruption.
