Balrog

The most under rated and under used monster in my opinion. Orcs, Goblins and Dragons seen to get all the attention in LOTR games. Mind you the amount of times I have fought one of these can be counted on the fingers of one hand (human hand). However unless you are an experienced wizard prepared to fight it out for 10 days then my advice to you when one appears is to just turn and run. Seen here is a Ral Patha 1976 metal cast Balrog with Gandalf for scale. The next is a 2011 version from WOTC. As the years go by these creatures just seem to get bigger and bigger.
